Drake’s junior album Nothing Was The Same was set to drop September 24th, but as with every album these days, the leak has hit the Internet and flooded people’s speakers. He has debuted a couple songs for radio play  on Nothing Was The Same, such as ‘Started From The Bottom’ and much softer songs like ‘Hold On Were Going Home‘ and recently released the controversial single for the Internet ‘Wu-Tang Forever.’ Despite constantly contradicting himself and any ‘street cred’ he may have, Wu-Tang still announced they will be remixing the song named after them. Even tho the Canadian singer/rapper has been named at the top of Ghostface Killah’s Softest MCs list 5 times in the past 2 years (yes you read that right. He landed spots 3,2, and one in 2011, and got second AND first again in 2012.) Even Inspectah Deck says the song “In no way is a tribute to The Wu and should not wear the title.” So I’m expecting a diss track from the New York group, but we shall see. 

All that aside, somehow Drake always seems to prove his critics wrong by finding a perfect balance of rhythm and blues with the mind blowing raps he’s so capable of producing on his junior album Nothing Was The Same. NTWS is the perfect example of a GREAT talent like Drake advancing his skills from rapper to singer. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for such a well rounded musician.
