You might have seen it last year, and we’ve got Celebrity Net Worth coming back again with the list for the World’s Richest Djs in 2013. They’ve provided a complete list of the richest electronic dance music DJs in the world as of May 26, 2013. It’s always interesting to see who is bringing in the most dough within the dance music scene, as some people on the list can be quite surprising.. Yea, that’s DJ Pauly D listed above Calvin Harris and Avicii.. Apparently he’s one of the most sought after DJ’s in the world, who knew?
To calculate the net worths, CNW took into account all music sales, merchandise, touring revenue, licensing, endorsements, real estate, royalties and more. Information that was obtained from all publicly available sources, promoters, managers, club owners and, in some cases, the artists themselves. Finally, they took out taxes and various other fees to cover management, agents and legal expenses. Now.. keep in mind that his is a celebrity’s net worth, so a lot of this revenue could be generated from years of building investments and deals, not just in a one year span. Diplo is the only trap related producer on the list, but I’m sure the list would be different if hip-hop related producers were included in this list. Who knows, maybe we’ll see some more of the EDM trap-based homies on the list next year.

More info on how Pauly D made the list, if you were saying WTF??? Like we were.
CNW states:
Almost immediately after this article went live, we started hearing complaints that DJ Pauly D was included. As painful as this is to admit, Pauly D is one of the most sought after DJs performing today. He is booked at over 130 gigs every year and frequently pulls down a six figure salary for a single set. Add to that a clothing line, a reality spin-off show and an official line of tanning lotions and you can start to understand how Paul Delvecchio brings home $11 million per year. Half of that income is from DJing.
Mark Mchale says
Makes me sick to think that they don't even DJ anymore, they just turn up.
