With years of streamed events, Boiler Room has revolutionized the live music game by bringing millions to their events to viewers online. Starting next year Boiler Room will be taking the next step by working with VR company Inception to host specially built VR events. In this exciting development, fans can join in with their VR headsets and take their music listening experience to a whole new plane.
In a press statement, Boiler Room CEO Blaise Bellville elaborated on this stating that the new platform would “bring people even closer to what it’s like being at a sweaty rave or an amazing concert half-way across the world.” Although it seems like something out of Black Mirror, we’re definitely excited to see how these VR events go and how new technologies continue to be implemented in our listening experiences.
