5 Tinashe Remixes Worth Listening to

Tinashe is a name we’ve been seeing everywhere lately, seems like producers cant help but want to work with her amazing voice. In all honesty, the obsession is completely warranted. The 21 year old singer-songwriter stepped into our lives when she released her EP “Reverie” in 2012. The following year she released her third EP “Black Water” and then the single “2 On” featuring Schoolboy Q.

Boeboe just remixed “2 On” and has veered away from the trap-ish approach that most other producers have been taking. Instead, he gave us an awesome deep house track that would fit well on any summer playlist. Really enjoyed this one.

Of course, there’s also Tokimonsta‘s “2 On” remix that took the music world by storm. This remix is just plain sexual; she definitely made the song her own. The rhythm and depth in here is so point.

Another song that’s been given quite a bit of attention is “Vulnerable” off Tinashe’s “Black Water” EP. Pomo adds a little funk to this track with a bouncy bassline and some well placed percussion. The feels are real.

Dave Luxe also remixes “Vulnerable” but takes a more future approach. There’s some really sexy synth on here paired with (obviously) amazing vocals that he slows down to create on of the best chill trap remixes i’ve heard in a while. One of my favorites out of them all.

Although it was released nearly 2 years ago, Ryan Hemsworth‘s remix of “Boss” is still my favorite remix of the bunch. It’s whimsical and exotic and melodic and pretty much just all around awesome. Hemsworth stays true to the hip hop feel of the original track, but adds his own depth and passion to it with some really cool new percussion and such a chill melody. 10/10.
